This deep understanding is necessary for transference and happens through the development of critical thinking processes where students learn to analyze, organize and synthesize information to represent knowledge in a variety of ways. All of this while instilling ethical values about working with information individually and in shared collaborative working environments both in virtual spaces and face to face.

“Impact of School Library on Student Learning” CISSL (Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries), through an IMLS grant. My school was one of 9 schools chosen to participate in this New Jersey state study. Using criteria drawn from studies by Keith Curry Lance and the Library Power Project School libraries were identified that have implemented effective inquiry-based programs.
